I start with a conversation about what you want and a look at the space. I'll take measurements, discuss finish options (oiled, waxed, stained), and give you a clear price before anything is made. Once agreed, most pieces are ready within one to two weeks. Installation is included — I fit everything myself so it's done properly first time.

⚠️ DIY Oak Joinery Tips — What to Watch Out For
- Always pre-drill pilot holes on smaller oak sections. Oak is dense and will split without a pilot hole, even with quality screws. The pilot should be slightly smaller than the screw diameter — not the same size.
- If planing oak, always use a freshly sharpened blade. A blunt plane blade doesn't cut — it tears the grain, leaving a rough, fibrous surface that no amount of sanding will fully fix.
- Never plane against the grain. Oak grain changes direction frequently within the same board. Always check the direction first and plane with it, not against it, or you'll get tearout.
